Undeniably the biggest tourist attraction in South Africa. The summit can be reached by trails or cable-car and Table Mountain is also known as a World heritage Site.

The V&A Waterfront

Arguably the most visited attraction in Cape Town is the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront with its assortment of shops, eateries, entertainment and sightseeing facilities, all set within the Cape Town Harbour.

Robben Island, a former prison (now a national monument), was home to many of South Africa s freedom fighters including Nelson Mandela. The historical importance of Robben Island can be gauged by its designation as a National Museum and cultural heritage site.

Cape Fortress

The oldest surviving and largest remaining - colonial building in South Africa is the Castle of Good Hope; this pentagonal fortress built by personnel of the Dutch East India Company was built back in the 1660s-70s. Today it houses the regional headquarters of the South African Defence Force in the Western Cape, and is also a military museum.
